Has small white star on forehead and a black dorsal stripe down back. Also has a small scar on her front right leg (doesn't effect riding or running). Would make a GREAT 4H horse, barrel horse or project for anyone to "finish" to their riding likes. Open to offers.

coming 12 year old AQHA Registered grey mare. She has been examined by my vet and is believed to be in foal for a May or June baby. This mare is approximately 15 hands and stands quietly to groom, tack and mount. She has apparently been ridden very little as of late and can therefore be somewhat heavy in your hands.

Your Help Is Needed Saturday March 3, 2012

February 29, 2012
Dear Family & Friends,
Hooves & Paws Rescue was contacted a few months ago regarding 90 - 103 starved and neglected horses. After working very hard to get all of the facts regarding this case and our paperwork in order we are ready to go in and remove the first (20) horses Saturday March 3, 2012.
We are looking for as many forever homesas possible for these horses. We have horses from a few days old to 30 years old needing homes. The first horses we will be removing will be the bred mares. These are the most critical to remove ASAP.
Please, if you can help and open your heart and home to just oneof these horses you will help us save a life which may otherwise be lost.
We are pulling Coggins Thursday March 1, 2012 on the first group of horses that we will be removing.
We will be leaving Glenwood, IA Saturday morning March 3, 2012 at 6:00 am and heading south 3 to 3 1/2 hours toward the property where the horses are. We must arrive at the property together as no one will be allowed on the property without us. For the safety of the horses and the Owners rights we are not allowed to share the location with anyone at this time. This is a team effort and we have had great success in the past with the groups we have taken in to help remove both horses and dogs from terrible living conditions. So we are counting on you for your help. We can't do this alone, but together we can make this happen.
If you can't take a horse there are many other ways you can help.
**Donations are needed for gas money to transport the horses, Vet bills and feed cost for these horses. Donations can be sent through our website using PayPal or mailed to the address above. Please mark your donations "Horses".
**Halter & lead ropes of all sizes.
**Extra transport people with stock horse trailers.
**Adult Volunteers are needed to take photos, document horses being loaded and walk the fence lines to make sure all of the horses stay calm while we are loading the first group. If you have horse knowledge or you feel you can help in any way please contact us ASAP. We can be reached at 712-355-3721 or by writing us through Legs1212@aol.com (Legs1212 @ aol.com )
If you can take a horses but do not have a horse trailer we may be able to arrange to bring a horse to you so please let us know if that is an option. We have extra horse trailers for transport.
***Forever Homes are critical***at this point so again, please consider taking one of these horses. There are no adoption fees for these horses. Our goal is just to find them great forever homes that will love them, care for them and give them a chance at a happy life.
This picture was taken right before winter when we first started working on this case. And although the winter has been mild in many areas these horses have suffered due to lack of food on a regular basis. This is one of the younger horses that was on the property. We are very sad to report he was one of the horses that did not make it through the winter while waiting to get the paperwork on these horses. Others have also passed but there are many more we can save!
We hope to hear from you regarding how you can get involved and help us save the lives of these horses.
Thank you & God Bless You
