Custom made tack boxes.

My friend Terri and her husband make these huge beautiful custom made tack boxes out of wood. They are gorgeous. She charges 495.00 I think per box. The ones that are alot like them in the magazines and shows, are at least 1000.00 and up. Anyway, she said if anyone ordered any and said that H.O.R.S.E. Inc. or Paula Carver or me, sent them to her, she would donate 75.00 to H.O.R.S.E. Inc, for each box ordered.
I don't have any pics of them but, there is one on my FB page (http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=1861155175331&set=t.1450541259&type=1&theater), she tagged me in. and if you email her, she'd be happy to email you pics of them.

keeping up with the weight gain of all the horses. The best part is the
scale is almost brand new and they are going to let us have it for $250!!!
We should have it by next weekend. I would love to raise enough money to
cover the cost so it does not come out of our operating funds.

I wanted to introduce myself and the Curly Horse Rescue.
The Curly Horse Rescue is a breed specific rescue that is made up of fosters located all over the US and Canada. Our purpose is to help curly horses in need. We can and do take possession of curlies from owners who surrender them. We also provide free advertisement for horses that are for sale at or below "meat" prices. We support other rescues with curly horses financially and through networking with the curly community. In case I haven't made this clear, the Curly Horse Rescue does not have a facility. We rely on fosters to handle incoming horses. We are licensed as a 501(c)3 in the state of Vermont. The rescue's website is www.curlyrescue.com.
Though not considered a rare breed, the number of registered curlies in the US is about 4000. Curly horses are known for their curly coats that are hypoallergenic for most people. Curlies come in all shapes and sizes, from minis to drafts and everything in between.
In the past, the CHR has been fortunate in that few curlies have needed assistance. Things have changed.
We currently have two curlies in quarantine in New England after being saved off the broker lot at New Holland, PA. Another Chance 4 Horses helped us save those two. We also have 3 other curlies in the process of being surrendered, one in Michigan and two in Washington State.
I am the fundraising chairman for the CHR. I live in western Kentucky and am owned by 4 curlies. I am new to the rescue world. I'm here seeking advise as well as asking for donations and support for our fundraising efforts.
Right now we have several items for sale on our fundraising website (www.chrfundraising.com) to benefit the two curlies rescued in PA. These items are for sale and we are still accepting donations.
We are also always in need of foster homes. While the number of curlies in need may be small, the horses are spread far and wide. We need to expand our network of fosters to better serve the needs of the rescue.
The curly community is very small. We desperately need to bring our rescue and the curly horse to the attention to a larger group of people.
If you'd like more information, please email contact@curlyrescue.com. There is a yahoo group dedicated to the rescue. The previous years' books are available in the files section of the yahoo group. The group is CHRescue@yahoogroups.com.
The fundraising email is chrfundraising@gmail.com and my personal email is sunedee_2000@yahoo.com.
Thank you for reading this far. Any fundraising advice is welcomed!!
Update: Can you put our current fundraiser up on your site as well? I'm at work and can't copy and paste the link but the fundraising site is www.chrfundraising.com. The current fundraiser is for Samson and Zoe. It's the last tab at the top of the page. This is a sale that has no end really. The items were donated to the rescue with all funds going to the rescue. Shipping is included in the price. I'm hoping to get paypal buttons up in a couple days.
THANKS!

charity & CUTE! draft horse and little one T-Shirts
Posted by: "AnnMarie Cross, Crosswinds Equine Rescue" lists@cwer.org amcross
Thu Jan 14, 2010 5:23 pm (PST)
We hope folks will enjoy our new fundraiser shirts half as much as we enjoyed getting the photos, the artwork done, and the first shirts in hand at Pet Fair 2009!
The sketch IS our very own ambassador, Tessa, and the smallest Cross -- granddaughter Arayah -- and we think the image goes just grand with the saying "I Think I Feel a Draft!"
The t-shirts are black, with white sketch on front, and a subtle Crosswinds in deep metallic purple on the back.
A small, low res image is attached to this email. Larger, higher res images and pricing and how to order is available on our site at http://www.cwer.org .
We are hopeful the sale of these new fundraiser shirts will help to aid with winter 2009/10 vet bills.
Stay warm and dry!
Sincerely,
AnnMarie Cross

Fence/Shelter project for Baby Ray, Legs, Sunshine
Posted by: "bhfer" bhfer@earthlink.net horsn4fun
Fri Jan 8, 2010 8:27 am (PST)
We now have urgency to this project due to info we received last night. A mare that we transferred 2+ yrs ago to a sanctuary for blind horses is likely coming back. The sanctuary is shutting its doors and we were advised by the owner of the sanctuary that the blind horses will be euthanized this weekend if they have no place to go except that our mare will be held for us until Monday.
The only safe paddock we have for the blind is the one that Baby Ray and Sunshine live in which is very small and it has no shelter - in bad weather Baby Ray and Sunshine stay at the front of the barn, under the wash rack - which is where they are now (its raining). In no case would I be able to put the blind mare in with Sunshine - she'd get beat up.
We started this thread and fundraiser a few days ago to build a safe paddock and shelter for Baby Ray, Sunshine, and Legacy. Phase 1 is for fencing (no climb wire, top boards, gates, and waterlines) and we need $1200 to accomplish this. So far, we've raised about $420 (counting the EBay item that is still up for bid). Our hopes are to have the fencing put up Tuesday of next week – this is when the fencing guy is available. Monday we would get the materials. If we can get the fence up next Tuesday, we can
temporarily put the blind mare in this pasture with Baby Ray until a permanent home can be found for her. Although, I can't put Sunshine in with them - she'd beat up the blind mare. At night, I'd have to put the mare in a stall (which she won't like) and leave Sunshine and Baby Ray around the barn until we can get Phase II (shelter) done. A lot of work but it's the only solution I can come up with at this time unless we can find a safe place for the mare and other 2 blind horses to go to.
Please consider helping with Phase 1 of this project - we need another $780 by Monday in order for the fencing to be accomplished on Tuesday. The mare, if we get her on Monday, would have to stay in a stall until the paddock is completed by Tuesday evening.
If anyone knows of a safe place that could take 1 to 3 blind horses, please LMK ASAP. God bless - thanks everyone and I'd like to ask for prayers for all of these horses. They don't deserve to die. I will be away from the computer for a bit but have my cell on (which is sporadically working).
Sincerely,
Theresa

Update: Update on project
Posted by: "bhfer" bhfer@earthlink.net horsn4fun
Fri Jan 8, 2010 7:49 pm (PST)
We have met the goal for Phase I of the fencing/shelter project! Bob will be picking up materials tomorrow and the fence guy will
be here on Tuesday - but we're going to try to get him here on Monday. Our blind mare is going to be transported here on Monday.
She may have to stay in a stall until the fence is completed but at least she will be safe.
And more good news - the other horses that were to be euthanized tomorrow have been relinquished to another parry and all are safe.
However, many of them need a home - more info will be posted when it is available. We know that out of the 4 blind horses, our mare
and one other have a place to go. But there is another blind mare and a gelding that need safe homes. I don't have the details on
the other horses but I know they need homes. I so very much appreciate all the people that worked on getting the horses out of
harms way and signed over to another party.
Thank all of you for your support and for caring. By working together - good things happen - God bless you all!
Stay warm and have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Theresa

Portion of every purchase goes to support NEER - New England Equine Rescue
Fame & Deceit is all about the power of a dream. Driven by his Olympian goal
of achieving world class recognition, Ike Cherny blocks out the world.
Except for an occasional pretty woman or two, he tries to turn a blind eye
to the evil swirling around him. Ike is a full-fledged horse-profiler whose
innate talent to "read a horse" has never been proven. In spite of the lack
of a track record, in spite of the absence of a mentor to turn to for advice
Ike believes in his ability to pluck a wild filly from the back woods of
Maine and bring Aristooke Annie along so she has the polish to become the
next World Champion.
Someone is secretly dumping toxic waste.
Has Ike’s boss, Agosto Benalli cooked up a scheme to profit by burying toxic
waste at Crowne Stable with Ike’s girl friend, Eugenia Jordan, (CT’s
Commissioner of the Dept. of Environmental Protection) as Benalli’s cohort?
Someone is secretly killing Connecticut clergymen.
Who is terrorizing Connecticut’s clergymen? Is Eugenia is carrying out a
sick vendetta because she believes her sister was raped and murdered at the
hands of their minister? Or what about Harriet Stilton with an embedded
hatred of clergymen for what one did to her son?
Ike’s Stable of Conniving Women
Ike moves from the arms of cuddly Lisa Danzig after she is caught poisoning
Ike’s horses, to s******y abused Eugenia Jordan, but backs away from the
relationship when she confesses to bribery. Ike discovers Eugenia’s body,
two month’s pregnant floating in the river. Did Ike’s boss order her death
because of the hazardous waste scheme? Or was Eugenia overly distraught
because he dumped her and decided to take her own life? Ike’s attraction to
Veronica Rouseau ends when he discovers she brokered the sale of Aristooke
Annie.
Set in New England’s horse world, Fame & Deceit is a tangle of s**, murder

1) If you already have a TD account:
just visit or call any office and tell a Customer Service Representative
you would like your account linked to New England Equine Rescues Affinity Membership Program.
or
2) Make TD Bank your bank.
Visit any TD Bank location and open any of the above mentioned accounts.

If this sells through NEER I will donate $5.00 to NEER.
This blanket is too big for Jester. When I bought it, the bag said it was a 78. I used it for 2 Winters before I realized the tag said it was an 81. Having never used a blanket before I had no clue how it was supposed to fit! I never did like the way it fit- I thought it was unsafe being so loose!
This was well cared for. There are two small patches that have held up very well. All the straps and buckles are in good shape.
I have to buy Jester a new blanket as he does not grow much of a Winter coat, so I have to try to sell this one as I am
BROKE! LOL! I have one other picture of the other side.

Gasp!!
Ready?
Same as last year (checking on price), but we're only doing the medium this year. These are awesome candles (I still have a little left in both of mine from last year, and just started using them again...doors and windows closed). They are SOY
candles, they burn better and do not give off toxic fumes... (: And they smell good!
We will do them in clumps like last year, but if people are too far to pick up, we will have to figure in shipping. Last year we had delivery peeps and locations.
More deets coming...
To order now, send to fatoldfarmwife@verizon.net ... (:
Smells:
"Amish Quilt"...This is the perfect fall fragrance! Spicy, sweet, and complex. Vanilla intertwines with a spice cabinet of cinnamon, clove, allspice, kissed with sugar. Hints of nutmeg and fruits peak out from the heart notes. If you are not a fan of bakery scents, this is nowhere near the typical "bakery" realm, give it a try! Very unique and different. - Best
Seller!
"Angel Baby"...This is a soft, sweet woody-floral fragrance with azalea, jasmine, lavender and rose notes underscored by patchouli and other precious woods with hints of citrus and other fruits. Balsam and vanilla add rich sweetness.
"Autumn Leaves"...Crisp leaves under their hoofs when out for a ride on an autumn day -A
refreshing, delightful, clean scent. It is the cool brisk air and the smell of fall! - Falling Leaves Scented. - Best Seller!
"Apple Treat"...You will always have a best friend with an apple in your hand! -Crisp as the Macintosh apples of New England. Macintosh Apple Scented- Best Seller!
"Avalanche"… Perfect sinus candle! Our exclusive blend of silver eucalyptus and mint – a refreshing sensation. Take a test drive and feel the blah go far, far away.
"Bayberry"...Even the horses nicker for this holiday scent -Traditional Christmas Bayberry Scented.
"Beach Ride" ... A full gallop on the open sands! - A refreshing breeze from the ocean makes you happy! Sea Breeze Scented.
"Bowl of Cherries"... One for you, two for me! - Ethereal fragrance of the bright red fruit. Beautiful and charming. Black Cherry Scented.
"Banana Nut Bread"... A creamy, flavorful blend of ripe, mouthwatering banana and walnut with a milky, buttery top-note, a spicy middle-note, and a sweet sugary vanilla base note. A ringer for warm buttered Banana Nut Bread straight from Granny's oven!
"Celtic Moonspice"… A wonderfully fragrant blend of warm spices, cinnamon, clove and nutmeg. Gives you that warm home & hearth feeling like a cozy cottage with a fireplace on a cold snowy evening. – Best Seller!
"Christmas Bliss"… All the holiday flowers and the softest whisper of spices, with bottom notes of balsam and pine.
"Christmas Cheer"… We managed to pour memories of Christmas! This candle is fantastic not only for the holidays, but year 'round as well. It's a welcome scent no matter what the season! This scent is rich with fir notes balanced by nuances of orange peel, garlands of cranberry, dried lemon slices, golden spun sugar, and a touch of vanilla. The fruit undertones are very subtle and add roundness to the scent without making it fruity.
"Christmas Tree"…A strong straight pine scent.
"Country Clothesline"… My nose is very picky and this is the best I've ever smelled for Country Clothesline. I wish all my clothes smelled this good. It just screams FRESH!!!!
"Cranberry"… A very true tart Cranberry, just like the real fruit. Not too sweet and not too sour, just right. Leaves a wonderfully subtle scent on the air like fresh fruit in a bowl. This is a fabulous fragrance.
"Country Christmas"...This is a FABULOUS blend of wilderness pine and fresh cranberry. It fills the air with the rich scent of a fresh cut Christmas tree surrounded with garlands of fresh cranberries. Other subtle notes give it the nostalgic smell of a country Christmas. - Country Christmas Scented. - Best Seller!
"A Day Off"...Everyone deserves a day off, especially when its raining! - Blooming jasmine, lavender, Lily of the valley and cascade of wild flowers in a Summer rain. - Rain Scented - Best Seller!
"Dreamcatcher"… One of the most beautiful, unique scents in the world! A soft, powdery floral with undertones of designer perfume. A one-of-a-kind fragrance. – Best Seller!
"Eucalyptus and Spearmint"… Cool and crisp fragrance.
"Feeding Time"…No lead needed, they'll come running! Morning, noon or night, they all love us at feeding time. - Oatmeal Honey Scented.
"Fireplace" - Cedar and pine burning in the fire give you the warm and fuzzy feeling of a comfortable home, hidden from the winter outside. Fireplace scented.
"Flannel Sheets" ...A fresh linen/clean cotton type that will leave you smiling. This scent has the beautiful aroma of fresh clothes just pulled from a sun drenched drying line. Flannel Sheets Scent - Best Seller!
"Forget me not"… Absolutely one of the best floral fragrances on the market, this fragrance is a TRUE floral. Smells like a fresh flower garden after a spring rain. Rich, soft floral tones that create a fresh clean fragrance.
"French Vanilla"…Creamy vanilla.
"Fresh Sliced Cucumber"… Fresh sliced cucumber is like a summer day with the crisp scent of cucumber. The most amazing aspect of this fragrance is its ability to remove those nasty kitchen smells such as fish that just need to be gone; within a short time, instead of smelling fish or grease, you will be rejuvenated in an atmosphere of fresh sliced cucumber. No perfume tones - just straight cucumber out of the garden!
"Fresh Cut Tulips" - This is from the original manufacturer of Yankee's Tulip fragrance. Now you can have your favorite Yankee scent, in a candle you can actually SMELL! Simply the most devastatingly realistic and true Tulip you will find anywhere, it will bring you to your knees in pure Tulip bliss! Velvety petals and pollen in a vividly bright and intense floral.
"Fruit Medley"… A delightful & refreshing mix of citrus, melons, apples and pears. – Best Seller!
"Gingerbread"...Richly spiced gingerbread with just the right hint of sweetness!
"Grandma's Kitchen"...This is like no other Grandma's Kitchen! Once you smell our version, you'll wonder what kitchen the other grandma's were cooking in! OUR Grandma went on a baking binge, whipping up spice cakes, quick breads, cookies and pies galore! Every whiff of crust, nuts, sugar and spices, bubbling hot fruit still lingers in our Grandma's kitchen! Can you smell the pie cooling on the counter? You can detect a bottom note of homemade cinnamony applesauce. Grandma's Kitchen Scented - Best Seller!
"Grass Pastures"…Time to relax, just be a horse! An open field with a gentle summer breeze will remind you of a midsummer's outdoor picnic. A fresh, clean, universally loved scent of a freshly mown lawn without breaking a sweat! - Fresh Cut Grass Scented.
"Green Tea and Cucumber"… This fabulous fragrance oil is a perfect blend of green tea as the high note, underscored with fresh cucumber as the bottom note. This is a very fresh, clean fragrance. – Best Seller!
"Holly Berry"...Uplifting fragrance that brings Christmas alive! Bright red and green aroma. Holly Berry Scented.
"Hot to Trot"...Get in that show ring and do your thing! - Yowza! Fiery hot and sassy. Red hot cinnamon is a jazzy, powerful scent. - Red Hot Cinnamon Scented.
"Island Ride"... The grain of the tropics! - Coconut Scented.
"Lemon Law"... Ride em B4 you buy em! - As fresh an aroma as you can get. Lemon Spice Scented.
"Little Black Dress"… Oh yes, this is it! Of all the fragrances we've had naming contests for, none have ever caused as much of an uproar as this one! A custom blend, it's one of the sexiest fragrances we have! Bottom notes of White Carnation and blood orange are the perfect foil for the heart notes, comprised of sandalwood, black rose, smoky wood, and a kiss of patchouli. The top notes give a hint of toasted vanilla bean and whiffs of vetiver, amber, and the tiniest touch
of Egyptian musk for a smoky, sexy finish. (If you hate musk, try this anyway, I promise you won't know it is there!) This is a big hit with the husbands and boyfriends! It just screams strappy sandals and slinky dress! – Best Seller!
"Love Spell"… This is a fresh, sensuous fragrance with top notes of grapefruit, clementines and strawberries. Middle notes are peach, black currant, and rose petals. Rounding out the scent is a sweet, white musky base note.
"Monkey Farts"… Wow, what a treat! We added this after many requests, and chose this particular one because the throw from our test candle filled the room in no time. Now, we know you're familiar with the name of this scent, so we'll sidestep the disgusting jokes and just give you the description. It's a blend of fresh bananas, kiwi, strawberries, pineapple, bubble gum and undertones of vanilla. Yes, a lush, yummy smell despite the name and you won't be disappointed! – Best Seller!
"Morning Brew"… The aroma of freshly brewed coffee is one of the most heartwarming smells in a home. This fragrance is a true fresh brewed coffee scent. Coffee drinkers and non-coffee drinkers alike love this wonderful warm fragrance.
"Mulberry" - Delicate delicious fruit of the Mulberry tree. No Christmas holiday can be complete without Mulberry. Mulberry Scented.
"North Country Blueberry" - This absolutely true blueberry will make your mouth water. It smells just like fresh blueberries right down to the tang of the peel.
"Pumpkin Bread"...This one is fresh baked and right out of the oven. Makes your mouth water while it fills your home with the scent of fresh pumpkin bread. Catch the smell of pumpkin pie spice with just the right amount of baked crust. A must have fragrance for the fall! Pumpkin Bread Scented - Best Seller!
"Rapture"… Introduced by Victoria's Secret in 1992, RAPTURE has consistently been in their top selling line! A bold blend of freesia, jasmine, and orange blossom, with notes of amber and woods woven around the heart of exotic warm sensuality! Designed with romantic wear in mind! Spicy, woody or warm amber-based fragrances are traditionally favorites for evening and special occasions. Husband tested and approved! Customer after customer has exclaimed, "This smells exactly like my favorite perfume!" Great if you want a container candle that will subtly yet strongly scent a room.
"Red Currant"...A wildly popular Holiday scent, this fragrance is also pleasing year round. Sweet, deep red currant berries harvested at their perfection. Red Currant Scented - Best Seller!
"Saddle Shop"… New leather on everyone's wish list! Imagine that smell when you first step into a tack shop, well now you can have it at home! - Leather scented.
"Sea Island Grapefruit"… A crisp and clean citrus experience. Tangy, tropical, heady, exotic grapefruit with a touch of sweetness and powerful throw. No fillers of floral or perfumes - just pure, joyful, juicy grapefruit!
"Spearmint"… Straight spearmint.
"Spiced Sugar Plum"...A powerful plum spiked with cinnamon. Spiced Sugar Plum Scent.
"Sweet grass & Cedar"… Fragrant braided sweetgrass with just a touch of cedar (we don't want to smell like a closet!) create this fresh and herbal blend! Men love this too! A very earthy, unisex fragrance. Herbal, woody, and fresh! Our herbal-loving customers rave about this one!
"Sweet Pea"… Another breathtaking spring-fresh scent by BBW! This vivacious aroma captures the essence of country garden freshness. It's a simple fragrance that delicately balances the wholesome smells of sweet pea flowers with the light aroma of summer melon and delicately perfumed Lily of the Valley. This scent is charming and romantic.
"Soft Whinny" ...A gentle breeze on a summers ride! - Our most popular floral fragrance, smells better than the real thing! Lilac Scented.
"Sugar Cookie"... The rich aroma of sweet vanilla is sure to make you want to bake! Sugar Cookie Scent.
"Summertime"...Take a ride through the lavender fields! - Often used in aromatherapy to sooth and nourish the spirit. Pleasant sweet fruity floral fragrance with herbaceous undertone. Lavender Scented.
"Twigs & Berries"… The smell of a deep forest and the wild berries that grow within. A bold, somewhat masculine fragrance. A top selling fragrance.
"Unscented"…Soy wax unscented candle, made for people who have sensitivity to candle fragrance or allergies in mind. Color is white.
"Vanilla Forest"... Take a ride where there are more than trees! - A sophisticated floral fragrance
substantiated by vanilla nuances. Vanilla Floral Scented. Welcome Home"...This is honestly one of the BEST scents we've ever smelled! Toasted graham crackers, vanilla frosting, creamy caramel, and juicy raisins. - Welcome Home Scented - Best Seller!
"Wine by Candlelight"… The most realistic, sensuous wine scent you'll ever use! A bountiful, heady merlot with notes of red berries and a hint of sweetness with amber. Strong seductive...a definite winner. – Best Seller!
"Winter Wonderland"… A wonderful wintery blend of mint and pine. A frosty, winter wonderland full of sparkle, shimmer and magic!

ATTN GA HORSE FOLKS
From HorseSouth Magazine
Wed at 7:48pm
I have had discussions with Lt. Bill Bourne of the City of Milton ( North Fulton, County, Georgia) Fire Department. That Fire Department has developed an equine rescue team that can work with saving horses in overturned trailers, caught in difficult circumstances, like swimming pools, and all kinds of problems.
They are the only fire department in the State of Georgia that has such a team. They serve more than the City of Milton, but they can't' serve the entire State. What they can do is share their recourses, training and equipment with others.
They are in need of a life sized horse mannequin to complete their training and to make it available for rent to other fire departments. http://www.rescuecritters.com/p18.html This mannequin is very expensive, like $10,000.00. They have raised some money, but need more. They have a fund-raiser at Jack Cashin's Chukkar Farm http://www.chukkarfarm.com/ this Sunday for the polo match there. Please go and pay the $20 which all goes to the fund raising effort , as Jack, as usual, is generous in using his polo fields and games to do such great work. The fire department keeps all the proceeds; Thanks Jack
But I have a pretty good list myself and I know Sue Vetsch has a huge list. Please make a contribution to the Milton Fire Department. You can send it to the City of Milton, or if you send your check to me, I'll get it to them.
This is needed in our State as our precious horses need qualified rescue in times of distress.

Our new website is coming along at shootingstarequinerescue.org
Take a look at her hand made jewelry...she is well known for the quality of each piece.
kylie just added a "shop for charity" link on her site and this is the shooting star page!
http://www.earlyjewelry.com/collections.php?option=8
In addition to creating jewelry out of new materials, Grater invents pieces by reconstructing cast-outs and vintage jewelry. Grater resides in Lawrence, Kansas where all the pieces are handmade.
When Early Jewelry says “handmade,” we mean it in the fullest sense.
Every wire is cut, bent, and polished by hand, including ear wires, necklace clasps, and jump rings in our Lawrence workshop. By hand-building the pieces, we can ensure the highest quality and durability at each stage of production.
This is true even of major orders; for example, in October of 2007, Urban Outfitters ordered a total of 6,000 pieces, to be delivered in phases from the end of November to mid-December. The workshop became a factory. Jewelry-making stations were set up all over the house. Early Jewelry’s small team worked overtime, every weekend, until the order was completed.
Even during this time, when our small crew was stressed to the max, we kept up these high quality standards. Every single one of those 6,000 pieces was still made from start to finish by hand; wires were cut and sanded, bone pieces were matched up two by two, ear wires and clasps were bent as carefully and conscientiously as always.
In this era of mechanization and mass production, Early Jewelry is proud to offer its creations, made in the spirit of a true artisan craftmanship. Every piece is made from start to finish in Lawrence, Kansas.

Subject: [NewEnglandEquineRescues] FUNDRAISER [1 Attachment]
Hi all!
I recently started selling Silpada Jewelry and thought we could raise some funds for NEER. I thought the attached picture would be a good representative of what we are all about.
The pieces are all .925 sterling silver and are absolutely beautiful! They are 3 separate pieces and can be purchased together for $140.00 or seperately as follows:
N1106 .925 sterling silver popcprn necklace, aprox 17" long (slightly looser than a choker) $50.00
I0653 .925 sterling silver horse pendant or pin (can be worn either way) $49.00
R1460 .925 oxidized sterling silver Horse ring (size 5-11) $ 54.00
I reduced the price for the complete set from $153.00 to $140.00 for all NEER members, so that we can shoot to sell 25 sets.
The donation amount for each set will be roughly $23.00 and if we multiply that times 25 we will reach a grand total of $575.00 which could geld someone or help to pull someone from the auction.
Depending on the turn out if we can get more than 25 orders I will add extra to the donation.
The fundraiser has Mary's high approval rate :) so maybe she could have one for her Birthday :))
Please email me at angelremi@comcast.net (angelremi @ comcast.net) to place your order. MC/Visa accepted and checks too.
Thanks for the support for the horses! Anyone interested in doing a book show or in home party can contact me and we can see if we can raise some more funds for the horses.

e-bay to help BHFER

A dear friend of Beautys Haven has an E-bay store. Today she has added BHFER as a partial beneficiary of her sales:
I am resurrecting it at this time because Robin and I have determined that it is time to add charity to our endeavors. Starting today, the majority of items for sale to take care of Robin will also donate from 20 to 50% to help Theresa in her efforts at Beauty's Haven.
The link to my store is http://stores.ebay.com/QualityWares.
Roseann is the wonderful artist behind Nickys drawing.
Please visit her store as it will not only benefit her horse Robin but also BHFER.
Thankyou.

Be a NEER Angel
Posted by: "Mary M." martinmaryd@comcast.net wyattcactus

Horse Angel Program
(Donations are tax deductible)
Maybe you don't have the money to rescue a horse. Maybe you don't have the room or you can't make the commitment for a horse right now, but you want to help.
Why not become a Horse Angel? Choose a horse to "watch over" and make a difference.
Make a commitment to help this horse until he/she finds a home. It doesn't matter how much you spend... it can be a little or a lot. Horses can't count.
It costs approximately $300.00 per month per horse food, board, vet and farrier. Horse Angles help offset these costs and help the horses feel special and loved until they find their forever homes.
Each month you send either a cash donation, a special gift. Your gift will arrive and be used for your horse. You can follow the progress of your horse and request updates. Current pictures will either be on the website or sent to you directly. You will be advised of the horse's story. We do not always know the background of the rescued horse, but with evaluations and constant care, many times the history unfolds as far as neglect and/or abuse.
All of us strive to find the perfect home for these beautiful and gentle creatures. With your help, the quality of their care improves. Maybe your gift might even be reusable. Everything and everyone counts.
Your gift is tax deductible as allowed by law as we are a non profit 501c(3) rescue organization

Ok... the first check from the Nutrena bag tags is going to be the
beginning of our EMERGENCY FUND... to help people in dire need to NOT
starve their horses. They will need proof, refs, etc... and it will not
be given as cash, but I think we should try to provide some assistance
to the horses falling through the cracks of this sucky economy....yes??
$313 to start the fund. (Our first check from Nutrena)
The more tags you send, the more you contribute to the fund. Info in
FILES, but I'm putting it here too...
We can get a kick back for NUTRENA TAGS...The bag tags are white and
tell the Nutritional Info and what grain they are. If anyone uses Loyal

to be cut from the bag itself.

It would be greatly appreciated and helpfull to horses in need if you could please collect the following tags and / or UPC's for NEER.
Even if you do not buy these products - take the initiative and ask stables in your area to collect for you to pick up every couple weeks; talk to your feed stores and see if you can leave a collection box etc..
Thank you!

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

netposse.com Fundraising Product flyer
Shelby, NC, August 19, 2008: Stolen Horse International, aka NetPosse.com, the nonprofit
organization dedicated to the recovery of missing horses and equine equipment, has a new
fundraiser flyer! Available for anyone who would like to help increase public awareness
and raise much needed funding for the organization, this flyer can be printed, posted in
public places or used as a handout at equine events.
Why help? Many people purchase these same products every day in the US and Canada from
for-profit vendors. Those same people would prefer to save money and buy ID products for
less if they knew they could do so, especially if they could help support a nonprofit
organization at the same time.
At Stolen Horse International, we are about to embark on the most costly venture in the
ten-year history of this organization with the development of a database-driven website.
While NetPosse.com has provided thousands of horse owners with education and information,
this new website, with its searchable database and enhanced features will provide even
more valuable tools to the equine community. This can mean so much to the victims of horse
theft, those missing horses, and the millions of horse owners who need to know about
NetPosse and how to protect their horses and property from theft, as well as those who
need our assistance and do not realize it. We invite you to be a part of this venture.
We understand how the rising costs of gas, food and other services to the public, affect
each of us, and, like many small nonprofit organizations, we have seen a decline in
donations and sales of our fundraising products.
You can help us by educating others about the organization and our products with this
flyer at little to no cost to you! Visit the link below and print as many flyers as you
would like. http://www.netposse.com/fundraisingflyer2008.pdf
(Flyer may open slowly in some browers)
Stolen Horse International is funded solely by donations, the sale of horse identification
products and our annual auction. Currently there is no corporate funding or grants
contributing Stolen Horse International.

that has become an advocacy and educational group for horses with efforts to
fundraise to help horses in need. Several of the horses
in my rescue have personally been supported by these efforts. We are now asking
friends, family and horse acquaintainces to please
donate a few minutes of your time each day for our fundraiser which asks that you
do a simple review of business in your area. For each
new review done, the group receives $ 1 dollar. Although that doesn't sound like
much, with the combined efforts of many of us the amount
would grow quickly and allow us to pay our remaining debt for the care of a horse
named George. George was saved from slaughter June
'07 and while in a foster home injured his hock last spring. A vet initially
assessed it as broken but another vet suggested taking him to
K-State for an assessment when I arrived to have him euthanized. Sure enough, he
did not have a fx but an infection. 3 weeks later he
was sent home to my rescue safe and sound. We have paid off the majority of the
bill but still have some remaining. We also need a
fund for emergent needs such as this and to help support the horses at the rescue
on a daily basis.
Please take a look at this link and sign up to help if at all possible. I know you
are all busy with lives of your own but this is really simple and
easy to do plus it's been fun to write reviews of restaurants and businesses I've
gone to. Our goal is for each person to do 10 each day for
the remaining 19 days of the fundraiser. Of course any you could do is great. And
many of us are trying to do as many as possible. It adds
up quickly.
If you could send on to other e-mail contacts, that just adds to those able to be
part of this fundraiser goal for rescue horses.
Thanks so much,

Help the Horses through EBay!

All:
As you know, with concern about hay and feed prices this year and the
downwardly-spiraling economy, it's going to be a little harder to
raise the funds that we need to help feed and care for rescued horses.
So we have opened an account on Missionfish, the Ebay charitable site,
to help us do that.
When you sell an item on Ebay, the software will ask if you'd like to
donate a portion of the sales price through Ebay giving. A "yes"
answer will allow you to select the White Bird Appaloosa Horse Rescue
as the recipient, as well as indicate the percentage of the sales that
you wish to be donated.
Please consider this option the next time you sell an item on Ebay.
Feed will be expensive this year and every dollar you contribute will
help to feed horses rescued from situations of high risk. Thank you in
advance for your support!

Howdy,
If you are looking to start a rescue of any species or already run a
rescue and want to improve how you operate, check out How to Start and
Run a Rescue at http:// www.
howtostartarescue. com/ (remove spaces) The book covers
topics like fundraising, public relations, adoption programs, putting
together a board of directors and much more. I've successfully run a
rescue for 10 years - and I wrote the book because people kept asking,
"How do I start a rescue?' or "I need help with my rescue - what do I
do?!'. There was just too much stuff to put in an email. :)
The book also includes stories and photos of 'real life' success cases. :)
For each book sold, I'm making a donation to Bluebonnet Equine Humane
Society - to help needy horses.
Thanks! Visit the website at www. howtostartarescue. com (remove spaces) - the more
good rescues we have out there, the more good we can do!!

Please Cross Post!!!!

Hi, all you animal lovers. This is pretty simple. Please tell ten friends totell ten
today!
The Animal
Rescue Site is having trouble
getting enough people
to click on it daily to meet their quota of getting free food donated
every day to abused and neglected animals.
>
It takes less than a minute to go to their site and click on the purple box
"fund food for animals" for free. This doesn't cost you a thing. Their
corporate sponsors/advertisers use the number of daily visits to donate food
to abandoned/neglected animals in exchange for advertising.
>
Here's the web site! Pass it along to people you know.
