| Note: Rescues are added as they agree to be listed. It is strictly first come, first add! lol Also, I have not personally been to all of these rescues. Please take your time in selecting the rescue you wish to work with. Contact them, visit the rescue (in person if possible or through someone you trust (have them photograph every area of the rescue so that you may see it)), talk with the neighbors, contact the other rescues in the state (take time to contact each one...this is important because there can sometimes be personal issues involved. Weigh the opinions of each rescue.), and finally contact the local authorities to see if their are any complaints and what the follow-up was. Most importantly trust your gut instinct. If you feel uncomfortable about the rescue for any reason, chose a different one. If there are any questionable rescues listed, please email me so I can check into them further. Thank you! Also rescues are listed as a courtesy only (there is no monetary gain for a link to their site and they are not required to list a link to this site), there is no promise that a rescue will be listed if an abeyance of favorable references persists. Links may also be removed if they are not consistently working correctly.
