Premarin Mares

I stand in a line,

Of stalls so small,

I cannot turn,

Or lie down at all.

I stand day after day.

Hour after hour,

Uncomfortable in every way.

My baby is nearly due,

Will there be enough room?

People stopping all the time,

But never even a quick groom!

All they care is if they catch,

Every last drop of my pee.

Sometimes I wish,

They’d just let me be!

I get a short break,

From that tiny stall,

The just after my baby is born.

A week is all,

Before my cycle starts.

They breed me again,

Take my baby away,

And then back to the stall,

Day after day.

What is all this torture for?
